Day 7- Blumenhof Vineyards

Blumenhof Vineyards is a charming vineyard in an equally charming town, where “gemütlichkeit” isn’t just a tongue-twister, it’s a way of life! Nestled in the heart of Dutzow, the cutest little town you’ve never heard of! I know because I’ve lived in MO my whole life and hadn’t heard of it until now. It’s the oldest permanent German settlement west of the Mississippi River. It’ so authentically German, you’ll swear you took a wrong turn and ended up in Bavaria.

  • Tasting room that’s cozier than your Oma’s living room:
    • Rustic wooden beams that have seen more toasts than a breakfast buffet
    • Warm, inviting atmosphere that’ll make you want to cancel your other plans
    • Staff so friendly, you’ll wonder if Midwestern hospitality is their secret ingredient
  • Outdoor seating area that’s pure Missouri magic:
    • Feel free to pack a picnic lunch to enjoy
    • Picturesque views of rolling hills and vineyards
    • Perfect spot for a lazy afternoon of sipping and snacking
    • Romantic enough for date night, casual enough for a catch-up with friends
  • Enjoy a wide variety of Live Music every weekend, year around
  • The Brathaus Grill
    • Homestyle German food- I’ll take a pretzel, please!
    • Locally produced charcuterie
  • Events Including:
    • Bingo, Trivia and Yoga
  • Don’t forget to grab a bottle of their many award winning wines to go:
    • Their wines make great souvenirs (and even better Tuesday night pick-me-ups)
    • Join the wine club and pretend you’re a Blumenhof regular (we won’t tell)

Remember, folks, Blumenhof isn’t just a winery – it’s a slice of the Old World right here in Missouri. It’s where German heritage meets Midwest hospitality, where each glass tells a story, and where “just one more taste” is practically the town motto. So dust off your lederhosen, practice your “danke schön,” and get ready for a wine adventure that’s as charming as it is delicious. Prost to finding a little piece of Germany in the heart of Missouri!

Don’t forget to see what winery is on Day8!
